Chelo is very accommodating. She spent a long time trying to help me find my first condo. There were months when I was unable to look and she kept in touch and helped me look again when my schedule allowed. This was almost always on weekends or late after work. There was never any pressure to buy anything even when we expanded our search and looked at dozens of places. She was always prepared and when the time came to put in an offer she was very prompt to put everything together. She answered all of my questions and went out of her way to keep me organized with all of the tasks required.

A few months ago, my fiancé and I decided to start looking for our first home. We began searching for an agent, and came across The Red Pin. We sent them an email and by the end of the day, we received an email from Chelo. She introduced herself and suggested we meet in person to get to know each other. I had the pleasure of working with Chelo Duenas in September of 2015 looking for my first house, which closed in December 2015. I was very pleased with our hunt and the house I eventually purchased. She listened to my "must have" criteria and shared some of her advice of rental units which I found very interesting. What I liked most about working with Chelo was her passion for finding the right house for me, without being pushy. If a houses wouldn't work she would point out the flaws and what might need to be done in order to make it right. For our house hunting she was able to work around my schedule so we would see houses after 5pm on weekdays which worked out really well for me. We were looking to purchase our first home, and we had a extremely short timeline. We looked through The Redpin's website and found a few properties that we are interested in. The Redpin connected us with Chelo. We were first time home buyers and didn't really know what to expect, but I'm sure glad we had Chelo. Chelo is very knowledgeable, and gives us great advices. Because of her, we found our house on the first day visiting properties, and had put an offer in right away. She showed us all the recent purchases and give us great advice. Later that day she advised us that we are in competition, and drove all the way to our place to improve the offer. She went in and presented the offer to the home owners and their agent herself and our offer got accepted. There were some up and downs in this first home buying experience, I'm glad we had Chelo every steps of the way. I wouldn't think twice about calling Chelo when we are ready to sell our place and look for another home.

I had the pleasure to work with Chelo summer of 2017 when I was purchasing my first condo. The RedPin connected me with Chelo, and it was a great experience having her as my agent. Being a typicalmillennial who was also living in a different city at the time, Chelo was able to quickly respond to my emails, provide electronic information whenever possible, and schedule viewings that fitted into my limited visiting schedule. We started off with a short list of places that I found interested on the website. She took my preferences very seriously - from budget and unit size, to location and exposure, to parking and locker - she makes sure I don't compromise. After the first viewing, she sent me a list of her choice. I was amazed by both how relevant the units on the list were and how short the list was. She found me my place on our second tour, and we started the offering process. She knows her math! I was very grateful to see her objective analysis of the neighborhood, estimation of how each condo feature added/subtracted value from the unit, and most importantly, how to land the offer price that gives me the best shot. With her expertise, we did it! I found my dream place in less than a month, and everyday, I appreciate this choice knowing that I wouldn't be able to do it without Chelo. I would recommend her to my friends and family, and I would not hesitate to call her up when I am ready for my next purchase in the future.

We first met Chelo during the holiday season of 2015. She had met us for the first time to show a condo that we had requested RedPin to view. Her bright smile and upbeat attitude were great first impressions when we first met. Now, the condo we viewed that day did not win our hearts, but Chelo certainly did. She explained everything from current market trends, to valuations in the neighbourhood, and even spent close to an hour afterwards getting to know us – I cannot stress how important this is. She was establishing our behaviour, motives, and personalities through these and many subsequent conversations – which, in turn, resulted in her finding all the best condo candidates that matched what we were looking for. Moving on to her business acumen. Once we decided on a definitive neighbourhood (Yonge and Eglinton), she worked day and night to find us exactly what we were looking for – she could be considered borderline workaholic (not meant to be offensive) and overly dedicated to her job. In less than 3 weeks (that includes the holidays – poor girl worked through her vacation as well) she found us 4 condo units that matched our profile. May not sound like a lot of choices, but all 4 condos were exactly what were looking for with 99% relevancy – great matches; not wasting our time. Which then made it difficult for us to choose between them. Knowing how green we were to the condo buying process, and knowing how stressed and nervous we appeared, she decided to spend the next couple of meetings to just chat, and talk things through. Some conversations were about home buying, and some were about life in general. Her patience was second to none. And because of her commitment to help us, we eventually decided with clarity and clear conscience, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Did I mention that she responded and answered email/texts/calls within minutes? Chelo is certainly a prompt replier and constant communicator – very attentive. A problem from the condo owner did arise during the purchasing process of our new home, but Chelo was involved every step of the way – helping mediate and arbitrate the situation – and I’m not sure that’s entirely her job (more so lawyer), but it goes to show how above and beyond she will go to help her clients. At the end, we couldn’t be happier with our purchase, and I hope agents are as kind and intelligent and personable as Chelo – I’ve heard some horror stories from friends about other agents, so it is unfortunate that they missed out on a truly genuine and caring agent with Chelo.
